COULD BE REAL?

I really enjoyed this article because it supports a way of living. It could be an idealistic point of view, but these days people are completely disconnected from each other, I mean people don’t have a social aware: they just want to achieve their goals, even if somebody is hurt in the process. Although, greetings might not have a real meaning of respect or another good feeling from one side: for example people that greet someone just for custom; perhaps this way to act can create a real connection, because you are showing education, and that is symptom of an order in society, a kind of role that you must do, because you are a part of your community. Another point, which makes me think a lot, is the relevance of greetings in many environments: marriage; studies; friendship; self-esteem; and so on. Greeting shows a feeling about caring for others. As everybody knows, the egoism is the beginning of many disasters: wars, warming global and so on, perhaps a kind of cure for this situation could be starting to create relationships.

THE RELEVANCE OF THE GREETINGS

The article "HELLO EVERYBODY" on the reader´s digest magazine shows how the way you greet can make great good changes in any environment of your entire life. The author makes an analysis through eleven points that we have to know about the relevance of greetings in life. The first and the second points share what is the common perception of us like human beings in the social environment. It says that we usually just talk with somebody; when we want something to fulfil our goals. The following points show the achievements you will get if you greet people properly. All of these achievements are cause of the strong loop that you produce when you greet somebody. A good example of this is the growing of the productivity in the student when the teacher greets the students- 27 percent- . Another achievement you can get is the respect since the people towards you: if you greet someone, there is a great probability that people will see you more like a person, I mean a pleasant and safer person. Also, the greetings could help you to make much better the dialog in a marriage and make stronger the relationship, because the simple act to say hello is a mark of respect and makes a predisposition for beginning a conversation. The eleventh point and the last one, develops a particular point of view: a clinical one. It says that an appropriate greeting supposes a smile and this expression produces endorphins. This hormone has particular qualities: it can avoid sickness, it works as a great painkiller; It can avoid stress; and, in general, it boosts happiness. Finally, the author is looking for making usual the act of greeting people and yourself as a way to know yourself and create a strong social contact with your community and the world.

MY OWN FUCKING WORLD!

The article I found on the rider´s digest was interesting because show how a powerful country are I process of changing. The social reality in the United States is not the same that many years ago. The opinion of people in the poll is symptomatic of that. Even thought, they are no convinced about the American dream, for many people that look more as a nightmare because of the conflicts in this country. In my case, I always have been a stereotype of the Americans, I didn’t look them like human been, that perception could be a result of a belize country, that only searches the power in any form: economically, military, and so on. Perhaps, the actual economic critical situation of this country in combination with the recently choose president –a black one- Obama apparently are changing the situation. In my own way to see the reality that looks like the born of a new country more human and sensitive –might be sounds very idealistic- to the others. Also, I actually want to stress the importance of the different opinions of people of each country who participate in the poll, because each one has a perception depending of his context. For example people in Latino America are worried about poverty and people in middle orient think that is important avoid the terrorism. Because of this point, we can make a global analysis and we have an integral view of the subject.

IN THE EYE OF THE WORLD..!

This article is about the image that people in seventeen countries –included the U.S. - have of the United Stated: giving his opinions about the issues that are most important in the actual context ; talking about the actual contenders to the presidency of the U.S. and showing how people feel with the situation of the country.
We can see the point of view of people -in different countries and in the same United State- about the actual president and both candidates for the new period. This point is really interesting because show us how people are disagree with the actual government of Bush and how they thing that the candidate McCain represents an archetype of the same actual government. In the other hand, we have the image of the “change” in the black candidate Obama. This candidate looks like a citizen of the whole world, and that is not just because of his beginnings-he born in Hawaii and his father is from Kenya and also he has a part of Indonesian. This man represent, in a way, the ideals expressed in the declarations of independence: equality, freedom and peace, in times when these concepts are only in theory- the war with Iraq; imperialism; and so on. This point apparently is symptomatic in a lot of countries as Germany and Netherlands: the poll show that Obama had have an approbation of almost ninety percent.
Talking about the issues more important for people, the poll shows different opinions depending of each country. For example respondents people in the U.S. think that the more important issue is the global economical – actually it’s predictable-; in Mexico people think that is more important the poverty; a lot of countries as Australia, Taiwan, Finland, Germany and Canada think that “the subject” is the environment. The poll shows something else, that is kind of weird, in a way, because that view the subject of the war in Iraq with a sort of indifference. Another point is how people feel about United State, first of all, in many declarations people thing that the American dream is not true any more. They usually would rather stay in his country than move to North America. Perhaps, we can’t omit that there is a good part of France that considered U. S. as “the land of the second chances”.

personal opinion about the interview............

the interview was very interesting. Actually I didn’t know a lot of Queen Latifa. I always listen about her and his movies about comedy, but I didn’t know about her multifaceted personality. This article show us a human been with a great scents of the life. I mean, she takes in count the superficial –and in a way, fake-type of live of Hollywood. She doesn’t worry about looking a great body, she feels comfortable with her self, and this is really important for a person. She is an example for the youth because in these days every teenager-and in general, almost all the people - want to be like the stars of Hollywood: get the perfect body; get money; etc. and because of that, they don’t have a conscience of the real word and how hard can be. Another element about the article that calls my attention is the attitude about her family. I mean that she are in touch with his mother, even when she are a very busy woman, that talks a lot about the kind of person she is.

QUEEN LATIFAH: AN ARCHETYPE MODEL OF BUSINESS WOMAN IN HOLLYWOOD

Queen Latifah his not just an actress of Hollywood with a great scent of humor. She is really a business women and a model of success. Latifa has participated in a lot of Hollywood movies and her histrionic talent has made her get prestigious: she was nominated to the Oscar and the Golden Globe. On the other hand, her carrier of singer has been awarded with a Grammy because of her great performance. However, the most important element is her personality: she doesn’t look like a star of Hollywood and that make her more attractive to the people, who show his love every second. She shows a great simplicity in her behavior and his declarations. She doesn’t fee like a diva of Hollywood, even when his popularity says the opposite. This realist attitude could be because of her hard experiences in the life: his older brother was killed in a motorcycle accident. Another, element of her attitude is the tenacity on all the projects that she works. She always makes her best in every challenge. A clear example of that is her last movie “the secret life of bees”, when she has to work with a lot of bees around, even when she admits his fear about these insects. She says that is difficult be in the character and say his lines. Talking about the multifaceted personality, she is the owner of five hamburger stand and she already has a line of clothing for “bigger women”, that is because she feels sensitive about people, who make an stereotype of women that are not in a standard weight. She has a really mature perspective about looking the “perfect body” and the health. Also she talks of the relationship between her and his family and her new projects.
